La próxima edición del MIRA Live Visual Arts Festival, que se celebrará del 6 al 15 de noviembre en Barcelona, anuncia la programación completa. La cuarta edición del festival, que amplía la programación a más días respecto la edición de 2013, contará con más de 50 actividades repartidas entre la Fàbrica Fabra i Coats, el Arts Santa Mònica y la sala Razzmatazz.
Por áreas, el festival contará con más de 37 actuaciones -la mayoría de ellos con show audiovisual-, 7 artistas visuales, 7 instalaciones, 3 workshops de 3 días de duración -bajo el nombre de Live Visual Arts Camp- y diversas conferencias y actividades gratuitas de difusión.
Música y AV Shows
En el apartado musical, el inglés Clark presentará su nuevo álbum, que saldrá a la venta a principios de noviembre, y lo hará acompañado de un nuevo AV show, Phosphor Live. Gold Panda demostrará que es uno de los prodigios del prestigioso sello Ghostly International. El jovencísimo Evian Christ, fenómeno de internet, colaborador de Kanye West y fichado por uno de los sellos más influyentes de la electrónica experimental Tri Angle, presentará Waterfall, nuevo EP que acompañará de un espectacular show audiovisual que ha ideado él mismo para la ocasión.
El inglés Ochre, también compositor de música para videojuegos, cine y tele, demostrará su capacidad de transportarnos hacia dimensiones desconocidas, y Rob Clouth presentará su nuevo trabajo, Clockwork Atom. Rone, joven promesa de la electrónica francesa, hipnotizará al público con sus elegantes sonidos, y Byetone, fundador del sello Raster Noton y mitad de Diamond Version junto a Alva Noto, hará un gran despliegue tecnológico en el escenario para presentar su nuevo EP, que saldrá a principios de noviembre.
Paula Temple, aparecida en escena en 2013, desplegará su techno oscuro y ruidista en su show audiovisual llamado Hybrid. En esta misma línea, Angle presentará Tetra 01, una instalación audiovisual basada en un mapping 3D que se aplica sobre una escenografía y va sincronizado con la música de Pietro Fragola.
Orphidal, nombre artístico de Diego Monterrubio, mitad del sello Soulless Lab Records, presentará su primer disco llamado Micromundos, el productor Ghostly Enemies presentará su nuevo trabajo al mando de Zeroocho Records y Marc Piñol, un clásico de las pistas de baile de toda Europa, llevará una selección inesperada en la que el underground estará muy presente.
Baldo Gallego será BLD, su proyecto más personal con unas producciones cercanas al techno y Black Amiga desplegará su música creada a partir de la naturaleza. Además, los reconocidos dj’s barceloneses DJohnston y Undo también actuarán en el festival.
El MIRA 2014 también contará con showcases de algunos de los sellos más representativos de la electrónica experimental contemporánea. Correspondant hará un showcase capitaneado por su creadora, Jennifer Cardini, que estará acompañada de Andre Bratten y Carreno is LB. Neonized presentará un showcase con Skygaze, que presentará su nuevo trabajo cercano a la pista de baile, Drömnu, el nuevo proyecto de Fitzroy North y Omega III (aka Slick Dixxx) llamado Black Catalans, y Seapoint, que mostrará su sonido más bass. El sello DROK presentará un showcase con Latzaro, fundador del label, Pedro Vian y un dj set especial de Boreals.
Estos artistas se suman al listado de artistas ya anunciados: Factory Floor, Max Cooper, Luke Vibert, Oscar Mulero & Fium present Biolive, Rush Hour presents Hunee + Young Marco + Antal, Ralp, Sunny Graves, Lucas Gutiérrez y Space F!ght. Artistas Visuales
En el área de los visuales, el MIRA 2014 anuncia a TVNO, uno de los mejores artistas visuales de Barcelona, nacido en el colectivo Telenoika y creador de GatoTV junto a dj Gato, entre otros proyectos.

Las instalaciones
En el ámbito de las instalaciones, vjspain presentará AR-Cade, un set de juegos interactivos diseñados exclusivamente para el MIRA con el objetivo de redescubrir clásicos como el Pong, el Arkanoid o el Pinball en una adaptación al siglo XXI. Además, el estudio Device, responsable de la imagen del festival, presentará Hyperline, una instalación audioreactiva en el techo de la sala principal de la Fabra i Coats de 300 metros de EL Wires, cables electroluminiscentes programados para reaccionar al ritmo de la música.

Las conferencias
El artista Sergio Albiac hará una conferencia sobre la intersección entre el código generativo y los medios tradicionales. ¿Cómo se transforma la realidad al crear aplicaciones para expresar la idea de belleza?. El inglés Paul Prudence, artista de cine que trabaja con algoritmos y ambientes generados, hablará sobre la creatividad computacional, y el estudio Palnoise, hará una conferencia sobre sus especialidades: motion graphics, stock footage y proyecciones con mapping 3D y live visuals.
Las conferencias y algunos de los conciertos se celebrarán en el Arts Santa Mònica en las jornadas del MIRA 2014 de actividades gratuitas los días 6 i 7 de noviembre. En las próximas semanas se confirmarán más conferencias. Toda la información aquí.
Live Visual Arts Camp
Con la creación del Live Visual Arts Camp, el MIRA se consolida como un punto de encuentro del sector de las artes visuales en directo.
El Live Visual Arts Camp son tres días de talleres, presentaciones y otras actividades alrededor de las proyecciones avanzadas, las luces y escenografía, la generación de visuales, y la interacción digital con danza y teatro.
Vjspain impartirá un workshop sobre cómo gestionar un proyecto visual desde el punto de vista artístico y de gestión. El estudio de diseño francés ScreenClub hará un taller orientado a la creación de piezas interactivas destinadas a eventos musicales, y el artista visual Arístides García (lasal) y el coreógrafo teatral Christian Loclair (Mio) impartirán un workshop sobre como unir los principios de visualización, análisis del movimiento y coreografía.
El Live Visual Arts Camp está coproducido por MIRA, Telenoika y ZZZINC. Todas las actividades del Live Visual Arts Camp se realizarán en diferentes espacios de la Fàbrica Fabra i Coats los días 11, 12 y 13 de noviembre. Las plazas son limitadas. Consulta toda la información aquí.

The next edition of MIRA Live Visual Arts Festival, to be held from 6th to 15th November in Barcelona, announces its complete line up. The fourth edition of the festival, which extends the programming to more days in comparison to the 2013 edition, will feature more than 50 activities spread between Fàbrica Fabra i Coats, Arts Santa Monica and Razzmatazz.
By areas, the festival will feature more than 37 performances -most of them AV shows-, 7 visual artists, 7 installations, 3-day-duration workshops (named Live Visual Arts Camp) and other conferences and free activities.
Musical & AV Shows
In the musical area, Clark will present his new album which will be released on early November, that will be accompanied by a new AV show, Phosphor Live. Gold Panda will prove to be one of the wonders of the prestigious label Ghostly International. Evian Christ, a very young internet phenomenon, Kanye West’s collaborator and recently signed by one of the most influential labels of experimental electronica, Tri Angle, will present Waterfall, a new EP to be performed with an spectacular audiovisual show created for the occasion.
Ochre, also a film, television and videogames music composerwill demonstrate his ability to transport us into unknown dimensions; Rob Clouth will present his new work, Clockwork Atom. Rone, young French electronic rising star, will hipnotize the audience with his elegant sounds; Byetone, founder of Raster Noton label and fifty percent of Diamond Version alongside Alva Noto, will make a great technology deployment on stage to present his new EP, which will be released on early November.
Paula Temple, appeared on scene in 2013, will display her dark and noisy techno in an audiovisual show called Hybrid. In the same vein, Angle will present Tetra 01, an audiovisual installation based on a 3D mapping that is applied to an exclusive set and is synchronised with Pietro Fragola’s music.
Orphidal, artistic name of Diego Monterrubio and fifty percent of Soulless Lab Records will present his first album Micromundos. Producer Ghostly Enemies will present his new work commanding Zeroocho Records, and Marc Piñol, a dancefloor classic dj throughout Europe, will bring an unexpected selection where the underground will be very present.
Baldo Gallego will be BLD, his most intimate project with barely techno productions and Black Amiga will deploy its music created from nature. In addition, renowned Barcelona resident djs Undo and DJohnston will also perform at the festival.

Visual Artists
In the visual area, MIRA 2014 announces TVNO, one of the best visual artists from Barcelona, born inside Telenoika collective and creator of GatoTV with dj Gato, among other projects.

Installations
In this area, vjspain will submit AR-Cade, a set of interactive games exclusively designed for MIRA in order to rediscover classics like Pong, Arkanoid and a modern adaptation of classic Pinball. In addition, Device studio, responsible of MIRA’s image, will present HYPERLINE, an audioreactive installation on Fabra i Coats main hall ceiling made of 300 meters of EL Wires, electroluminescent wires programmed to react to the beat of the music.

Conferences
Sergio Albiac will make a lecture of the intersection between generative code and traditional media. How is reality transformed to create applications to express the idea of beauty?. Paul Prudence (UK), a film artist who works with algorithms and generated environments, will discuss about computational creativity; and Palnoise studio will make a lecture on their specialties: motion graphics, stock footage and 3D mapping projections and live visuals.
Conferences and some of the concerts will be held at Arts Santa Mònica in MIRA 2014 as part of the free and open activities days on November, 6th and 7th. In the next weeks more conferences will be confirmed. Find all the information here.
Live Visual Arts Camp
With the creation of Live Visual Arts Camp, MIRA has established itself as a meeting point of the visual arts live sector. The Live Visual Arts Camp is a 3-day-duration workshops, keynotes and other activities around the advanced projections, lights and scenery, the generation of visual and digital interaction with dance and theater.
Vjspain will teach a workshop on how to manage a project from visual artistic point of view and management. French design studio ScreenClub will teach a workshop based on the creation of interactive parts for musical events; and visual artist Aristides Garcia (lasal) and theatrical choreographer Christian Loclair (Mio) will do a workshop on how to unite the principles of visualization, analysis of movement and choreography.
The Live Visual Arts Camp is co-produced by MIRA, Telenoika and ZZZINC. All activities will be held in different venues around the Fàbrica Fabra i Coats on November, 11th, 12th and 13th. Places are limited. See all the information here.
