Isótopos v.2. es un espacio desmaterializado. El catalizador del proyecto fue la atmósfera creada post Fukushima. Una tragedia que chocó en los recuerdos de Nonotak les llevó a reflexionar sobre la fragilidad de la realidad. Este punto de no retorno refleja la brutalidad del mundo que nos rodea.
Isótopos v. 2 es un espacio abierto pero que puede percibirse como una prisión. Al principio, el hipnotizador y lento movimiento de las luces atraen al visitante hacia el corazón de la instalación. Posteriormente, el ritmo y la intensidad se convierten más agresivos hasta general barreras inmateriales: es muy sencillo entrar pero casi imposible salir. Un eco de cómo el hombre se acerca a la energía nuclear. Primero sedujo, luego se hizo adicto por la comodidad de la energía, quedando atrapado en una situación inestable.
El ritmo de las luces y los sonidos recuperan la conexión entre la población japonesa y la conciencia de radioactividad omnipresente. A veces se puede olvidar, como el resplandor de una luz de noche, pero a veces la conciencia gana la partida, y el miedo vuelve con la pérdida de la referencia terrestre. A través de la metamorfosis de su apariencia, esta instalación deja al visitante entre lo que una vez existió y lo que no hizo, dibujándolo dentro del espectro de sus propias emociones inestables.

The idea of Isotopes is to generate a dematerialized space. The catalyst of the project have been post Fukushima’s atmosphere. This tragedy that collided within our memories and childhood has led us to think about the brittleness of reality. This point of no return reflects the brutality of this evolving world that surrounds us.
Isotopes is an open space which can also be perceived as a prison.
At first, the slow and hypnotizing moving lights attracts the visitor into the heart of it. Then, the rhythm and the intensity become continually more aggressive until it generates immaterial barriers: it’s easy to get in but neigh impossible to get out. This echoes the way humans approach nuclear power. First seduced, then addicted by its comfortable energy, humans have become trapped in an unstable situation.
The rhythm of the lights and the sounds bring back the connection between the Japanese and their awareness of radioactive omnipresence. Sometimes you can forget it, like the glow of a night light, but sometimes the conscience gains the upper hand, and fear comes back with loss of ground reference. Through the metamorphoses of its appearance, this installation leaves the visitor between what once existed and what didn’t, drawing them into the spectrum of their own volatile emotions.
